Samsung Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016) - Restart in Safe Mode

Restarting your Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016) in Safe Mode puts it into a diagnostic state that only runs system apps so you can determine if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.
  1. With the device powered on, tap the
    Recent apps button
    .
    An alternate method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't powered on.
  2. Tap the
    Close all icon
    .
  3. Press and hold the
    Power button
     on the right edge until 'Power off' displays on the screen then release.
  4. Select and hold
    Power off
     until the 'Reboot to Safe Mode' prompt appears then release.
  5. Tap RESTART or tap Safe Mode.
    This restart process may take up to 1 minute to complete.
    Upon restart, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.
  6. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
