Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your motorola edge to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Face & Fingerprint Unlock
    .
  3. Enter the current pattern, PIN or password.
  4. Tap
    Face Unlock
     then do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Tap
        Set up
        .
      2. Tap the
        Skip lock screen switch
         or
        Lift to unlock switch
         to turn on or off.
      3. Tap
        Next
        .
      4. Align your face within the circle and follow onscreen prompts until the process is complete.
      5. Tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Delete face data
        .
      2. To confirm, tap
        Delete
        .
