Activate your TCL 50 XL NXTPAPER 5G to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.

Before you begin

Ensure your 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering it on. You can add an eSIM after setup is complete.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device powers on. Select your language, then tap
    Get Started
    .
  2. Review the Terms and Privacy screen, then tap
    I agree
    .
  3. From the Phone Activation screen, confirm your phone number and tap
    Next
    .
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  5. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content now or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  6. Sign in to your Google™ account or create a new one.
  7. From the 'Who will be using this device?' screen, select an option (e.g.,
    I will be using this device
    ) then tap
    Next
    .
  8. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services and device backup options, then tap
    Accept
    .
  9. Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprints to secure your device, or tap
    Skip
    .
  10. Review and accept the Verizon Services (including Verizon Cloud and device protection options).
  11. From the 'Ready to go!' screen, tap
    Got it!
     to complete your setup.
