MAC Filtering

MAC filtering improves security by controlling device access to your Orbic® SPEED X 5G. Limiting connections helps prevent unauthorized access and keeps your network safe.

Steps

  2. From the Settings section, click the
    Arrow icon
    .
  3. Click the
    Advanced tab
    .
  4. Review the warning message then click
    Continue
    .
  5. Click the
    MAC Filter
     tab.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • To whitelist or blacklist a device:
      1. From the MAC Filter dropdown, select one of the following:
        • Whitelist
        • Blacklist
      2. Enter the device Name and MAC Address.
      3. Click (check)
        MAC Address Filter
        .
      4. Click
        Save Changes
        .
    • To delete a device
      1. From the MAC Filter dropdown, select one of the following:
        • Whitelist
        • Blacklist
      2. From the list of devices, click (check)
        Delete
         to the right of the device to be removed.
      3. Click
        Save Changes
