 Add eSIM Profile

With an eSIM, your phone number and plan are installed digitally onto your KYOCERA smartphone instead of using a physical SIM card. Downloading an eSIM profile is the first step in getting connected to the Verizon network.

Before you begin

Check your device is eSIM (embedded SIM) capable, navigate:
Settings
About phone
 then view IMEI (sim slot 2). Alternatively, you can navigate:
Settings
Connections
SIM manager
 to view or add an eSIM.
Verify that you are activating a Verizon-branded or unlocked device. Only unlocked devices are eligible for dual SIM functionality.
Verify that your eSIM activation has been processed and your device is connected to the Verizon wireless network or has a Wi-Fi connection.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    SIMs
    .
  3. Tap the
    Add eSIM icon
    .
    If the Add eSIM icon is not available, tap
    SIMs
  4. If using a non-Verizon-branded (BYOD) device, scan the provided QR code with your phone's camera.
    If using a Verizon-branded device, a QR code is not required for activation.
    Non-Verizon branded (BYOD) Prepaid devices don't support eSIM activation.
    The QR code is sent via email.

  5. When 'Add mobile plan?' displays, tap
    Verizon Wireless
    .
    It may take several minutes to add your plan.
    If 'No plans found' appears, tap
    Try again
    .
  6. From the Confirm activation screen, tap
    Activate
    .
  7. From the 'Do you want to turn on your eSIM now?' screen, tap
    Settings
    .
  8. Tap the
    Use SIM switch
     to turn on, then tap
    Yes
     to confirm.
Remove eSIM Profile
Enable / Disable eSIM Profile
