Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Motorola one 5G UW ACE to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages and connect to the internet.

Before you begin

If you have a physical SIM card, ensure your 5G SIM card is inserted.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap
    Start
    .
  2. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  4. Set your Motorola service preferences then tap
    Accept & continue
    .
  5. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content now or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  6. Sign in with your Google™ Account or create a new one.
  7. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Google Drive, Location, etc.).
  8. Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprint to secure your device.
  9. Check
    Next
     to manage your email services in one place.
  10. To configure voice services with the Assistant, tap
    I agree
    .
  11. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and App info, tap
    Accept
    .
  12. Tap
    Accept
     to add additional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  13. Configure the Motorola communication service then tap
    Next
    .
  14. Tap
    Got it
     to complete the setup process.
