Before you begin

Ensure a 4G SIM is inserted into the device before powering on.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device powers on. Select your language then tap
    Start

  2. Review the Terms and Privacy info, then tap
    Next
    .
  3. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  5. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content now or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  6. Sign in to your Google™ account or create a new one.
  7. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g,. Google Drive, Location, etc.).
  8. Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprints to secure your device.
  9. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and Apps info, tap
    Accept
    .
  10. Tap
    Agree
     or
    Accept
     to add additional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Digital Secure.
  11. Sign in to your Samsung account to access Galaxy-specific features.
  12. Tap
    Done
     to complete setup.
