Verifying your Apple Watch® is connected to a Wi-Fi network ensures it can access data and features even when your Apple® iPhone®® isn't nearby.

Before you begin

Because your watch uses Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi to communicate with your paired iPhone, Wi-Fi is always on. Refer to this wireless connections support page for more info.
Your watch auto-connects to networks you've joined before that meet the 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GHz standard (i.e., not compatible with 5 GHz networks).

Steps

  1. From the Watch screen, tap the
    Side Button
     to access the Control Center.
  2. Verify you're connected by checking for a blue Wi-Fi icon that displays instead of a phone icon.
