Apple iPad
Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Enabling a SIM PIN provides extra security to your Apple® iPad®, helping to prevent unauthorized use and protect your personal info if your device is misplaced or stolen.

Before you begin

This option isn't available if activated using an eSIM.
Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card on your iPad, so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to get a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Cellular Data
    SIM PIN
    .
  3. Tap the
    SIM PIN switch
    to turn on or off.
  4. Enter the SIM PIN then tap
    Done
    .
The default SIM PIN is 1111.
  5. To change your SIM PIN, ensure the SIM PIN switch is turned on, tap
    Change PIN
    then follow the onscreen prompts.
