  • When an email account is set up on an email client (i.e. Microsoft® Outlook), the email is downloaded off the server and into the email client.
  • Many email clients have an option that leaves a copy of the email on the server.
    • This option allows the email to be downloaded to the email client and leaves a copy on the mail server so that email can also be viewed on webmail interfaces and mobile devices.
    • This option needs to be configured manually.
Engage your IT / Exchange admin or email provider to configure the email client to leave messages on the server.
