Cancel Prepaid Cellular Data Plan

If you're upgrading to a new plan, no longer using your Apple® iPad® for mobile data, or simply want to stop service, you can cancel your prepaid data plan directly from your tablet.

Before you begin

Applies to active prepaid subscribers only; standard service can't be canceled with these steps.
Any remaining balance on the line is forfeited when canceling service.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Cellular
    .
  3. From the Cellular Plans section, tap the
    Info icon
    .
  4. Tap
    Manage Verizon Account
     then tap
    Account Settings
    .
  5. Enter the email and password for your My Verizon account then tap
    Next
    .
    If you forgot your account password, refer to Recover Cellular Data Account Password for assistance.
  6. Tap
    Add Data or Change Plan
    .
  7. From the Plan Options section, tap
    Cancel Plan
    .
  8. Tap
    Delete Account Now
    .
  9. To confirm, tap
    Submit
    .
    To finish the cancellation, the account must be reset. Refer to Reset Cellular Data Account for assistance.
