Activate / Set Up DeviceActivate your moto watch ultra to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.
Before you begin
If the moto watch ultra was purchased outside of Verizon, contact us to start a line of service for your device.
The moto watch ultra isn't compatible with Apple® devices.
The moto watch ultra can be set up via Number Share. To set up with Number Share, the companion smartphone must be activated on the same Verizon account as the watch.
If you're pairing an existing moto watch ultra with a new Android™ smartphone, refer to Switch Paired Phone.
Install the Moto Watch app on the companion Android smartphone via the Google Play™ Store.
Verify that your companion Android smartphone has a cellular or Wi-Fi connection, you're in a Verizon coverage area and your eSIM activation has been processed.
Ensure the watch is charged and powered on.
Steps
- Open theMoto Watch app.
- TapGet started.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the authorizations and permissions.
- TapPair a watch
- Tapmoto watch ultra.
- Ensure the passkey matches what's displayed on the moto watch ultra then tapPair.
- TapContinuethen follow the onscreen steps to sign in to your Moto account.
- To sign in to your Google account, tapSign inthen follow the onscreen steps.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Location, Automatic updates, etc.).
- Set the watch orientation and wrist placement then tapNext.
- Add your biometric data then tapNext.
- Set up a pattern or PIN screen lock to secure your device.
