Before you begin

Removing your Gmail account turns off device protection features like finding or erasing your phone remotely. To keep these features active, make sure you leave at least one other Google account signed in on this phone.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accounts and backup
    Manage accounts
    .
  3. Select the applicable Gmail address.
  4. Tap
    Remove account
    .
  5. To confirm, review the notification then tap
    Remove
    .
