Set Up with Number Share (Set Up for Myself)

Learn how to set up Number Share on your Galaxy Watch9 so you can make calls and texts without the use of your phone.

Before you begin

To set up with Number Share, the companion smartphone must be activated on the same Verizon account as the Galaxy Watch9.
The Galaxy Watch9 supports Standalone Mode (Set Up for a Child).
If the Galaxy Watch9 was purchased outside of Verizon, contact us to start a line of service for your device.
If using Number Share, ensure your eSim activation has been processed.

Steps

  1. Ensure the Galaxy Watch9 Classic is charged and powered on.
    If you're replacing an existing watch, refer to Replace Existing Device.
  2. Install the Galaxy Wearable app on the companion Android smartphone via the Google Play™ Store.
    If you're pairing an existing watch with a new Android smartphone, refer to Switch Paired Phone.
  3. Open the
    Galaxy Wearable app
    .
  4. Tap
    Continue
    .
  5. Tap
    Galaxy Watch9
    .
  6. Ensure the passkey matches what's displayed on the Galaxy Watch9 then tap
    Confirm
    .
  7. Tap
    Sign in
     to complete the Samsung account setup and access more features or tap
    Skip
     to add a Samsung account later.
  8. To continue, review the Samsung End User License Agreement and Samsung Privacy Notice then tap
    Continue
    .
  9. If using a non-Samsung Android smartphone to complete the setup, tap
    Allow
     to grant Galaxy Watch9 Manager access to your watch.
  10. Review the Google Terms of Service then tap
    I agree
    .
  11. To add your Google Account, confirm the correct account is displayed then tap
    Next
     or skip this step.
  12. From the Automatic watch backup screen, review the info then tap
    Next

  13. From the Set your wearing preferences screen, tap
    Preferred wrist
     then select an option.
  14. Review the features of your watch then tap
    Next
     after each one to continue:
    • Get help in an emergency
    • Track your daily activities
    • Understand your sleep for better rest
    • Get heart rate zone guidance while you're running
    • Take your running to a new level with advanced metrics
  15. If an eSIM has been activated on your account, tap
    Next
     to add your mobile plan or tap
    Skip
     to add a cellular plan after set up.
  16. From the watch, tap
    Start
     to take a tour of your watch.
