Activate your TCL K70 to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.

Before you begin

Ensure a 5G SIM card is inserted into your TCL 50 XE 5G before powering on. An eSIM (embedded SIM) can be added after setup is complete.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap
    Get Started
    .
  2. Review the Terms and Privacy screen, then tap
    Agree
    .
  3. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  5. To set up your phone using an old phone, select
    Galaxy or Android device
     or
    iPhone or iPad
    . Otherwise, tap
    Set up manually
    .
  6. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one.
  7. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services option (e.g., Gemini, Location, etc.).
  8. Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprints to secure your device.
  9. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and App info, tap
    Accept
    .
  10. Tap
    Agree
     or
    Accept
     to add additional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  11. Tap
    Got it
     to exit the device setup.
