Unused apps take up storage space and slow down your Galaxy S26 / S26+ / S26 Ultra. Uninstalling apps you don't need can improve performance and reduce clutter.

Before you begin

Apps included with the Android™ operating system may not have an uninstall option. Some apps that can't be uninstalled can be disabled; however, disabling apps may cause related apps to malfunction.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Apps
    .
  3. Locate then select the applicable app.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To uninstall an app:
      1. Tap
        Uninstall
        .
      2. To confirm, tap
        Uninstall
        .
    • To uninstall app updates:
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu icon
        .
      2. Tap
        Uninstall Updates
        .
      3. To confirm, tap
        OK
        .
