Adjust Account Sync Settings

Adjusting the sync settings on your moto g - 2026 helps manage app updates, improve performance, conserve battery and control data usage.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Passwords, passkeys & accounts
    .
  3. Tap the
    Automatically sync app data switch
     to turn on or off.
    Turning off auto sync stops accounts from automatically refreshing your data and delivering notifications.
  4. Tap the applicable account.
  5. Tap
    Account sync
    .
  6. Tap the switch for individual items (e.g., Contacts, Calendar, Email, etc.) to turn on or off.
    To perform a manual sync, tap the
    3-dot Menu icon
     then tap
    Sync now
    .
