Turn Data On / Off

Turning on data lets your TAB 8 NXTPAPER 5G access online services over the Verizon network, while turning it off will impact that experience unless connected to Wi-Fi.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Connections
     then do any of the following:
    • To turn data on or off:
      1. Tap
        Data usage
        .
      2. Tap the
        Mobile data switch
         to turn on or off.
      3. If prompted, tap
        OK
         to confirm.
    • To allow or deny roaming:
      Depending on your plan, enabling data roaming may cause roaming charges (e.g., when traveling internationally).
      1. Navigate:
        Settings
        Network and internet
        .
      2. Select the applicable SIM (e.g., Verizon, SIM 1, etc.).
      3. Tap the
        Data roaming switch
         to turn on or off.
