Adjust settings to fine-tune security and unlocking preferences on your TAB 8 NXTPAPER 5G, ensuring the right balance of convenience and protection.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Security and privacy
    Device unlock
    .
  3. Tap the
    Gear icon
     next to the Screen lock setting to configure the options below, if available:
    • Make pattern visible
      Tap to turn on or off.
    • Tap
      Lock after screen timeout
       then select an option (e.g., Immediately, 30 seconds, 2 minutes, etc.).
    • Power button instantly locks
      Tap to turn on or off.
