Customize Your Home ScreenPersonalizing the Home screen on your TAB 8 NXTPAPER 5G makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets or set a wallpaper that matches your style.
Add Apps
- From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
- Touch and hold an app.
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.
Add Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- TapWidgetsat the bottom of the screen.
- Tap a widget.Some widgets offer different size options. If no additional options are available, skip to the next step.
- Touch and hold the desired widget.
- Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.
- If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
Remove Apps / Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
- When the pop-up bubble appears, release the icon then tapRemove.
Add / Remove Folders
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail).
- Do one of the following:
- To rename a folder:
- TapFolderat the bottom of the folder.
- Enter a name for the folder then tap the check on the lower right of the keypad.
- To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
Set Wallpapers
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank space.
- From the onscreen prompt, tapWallpapers.
- Select a wallpaper category (e.g., Photos, Wallpapers, etc.).
- Locate then tap the preferred picture.
- TapSet wallpaperthen select an option:
- Home screen
- Lock screen
- Home screen and lock screen
