Before you begin

Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized app settings can be backed up to Google's servers.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Do any of the following:
    • To reset an individual app:
      1. Navigate:
        Apps
        See all apps
        .
        If necessary, tap the
        Dropdown menu
         then select
        All apps
        .
      2. Tap the app you want to reset.
      3. Tap
        Force stop
         then tap
        OK
        .
      4. Tap
        Storage & cache
        .
      5. Tap
        Clear storage
        .
      6. Tap
        Delete
        .
    • To reset all app preferences:
      1. Navigate:
        System
        Reset options
        Reset app preferences
        .
      2. Tap
        Reset apps
        .
