Manage Data Usage

Setting data limits or warnings on your motorola edge helps you stay aware of your usage habits, which can be useful if your plan provides a fixed amount of data.

Before you begin

Device data usage may differ from actual usage. For accurate info and bill cycle dates, visit the My Verizon website. For business customer data, visit My Business.
To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Family™.

Step

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Mobile data
    .
  3. If necessary, select the appropriate SIM.
  4. Tap
    Data warning and limit
    .
  5. Do any of the following:
    • To set mobile data limit:
      1. Tap
        Limit
         to turn on.
      2. Tap
        Data limit
        .
      3. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap
        Set
        .
    • To change data uage cycle:
      1. Tap
        Mobile data usage cycle
        .
      2. Select the Usage cycle reset date then tap
        Set
        .
    • To set mobile data warning:
      1. Tap
        Alert me
         to turn on.
      2. Tap
        Data warning
        .
      3. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap
        Set
        .
