Create and Send a Text MessageFollow these instructions to send a text message from your Pixel Watch 4.
Before you begin
Messages by Google must be installed on the companion smartphone and set as the default app.
Steps
- Open theMessages app.
- Tap an existing chat thread or tapStart chat.If replying to an existing chat thread, tap the desired thread then skip to step 4.
- Do one of the following:
- To enter a 10-digit mobile number:
- Tap theKeypad icon.
- Enter the 10-digit number then tap theCheckmark icon.
- To select a contact:
- Swipe up on the watch screen.
- Tap the preferred contact.
- Tap the applicable mobile number.
- TapStart chat.
- Do one of the following:
- To use voice service to create text:
- Tap theMicrophone icon.
- Speak your message then tap theSend icon.
- To send an emoji:
- Tap theEmoji icon.
- Tap the desired emoji then tap theSend icon.
- To type a message:
- Tap theKeypad icon.
- Enter a message.
- Tap theSend icon.
