Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your moto g power - 2025 to a visible or hidden Wi-Fi network or remove a saved one. This can help with troubleshooting or make it easier to connect to networks you use.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on.
  4. Do any of the following:
    • To connect to an available Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap the preferred network.
      2. If prompted, enter the applicable password then tap
        Connect
        .
    • Manually connect to a Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap
        Add network
        .
      2. From the Network name SSID field, enter the appropriate network name.
      3. From the Security field, tap the dropdown menu icon.
      4. Tap the applicable security option (e.g. Enhanced Open, WEP WPA / WPA2- Personal).
      5. If prompted, enter the password into the Password field.
      6. Tap
        Advanced options
        .
      7. Ensure all additional settings (e.g., Proxy, IP Settings, etc.) are configured appropriately then tap
        Save
        .
    • To remove a Wi-Fi connection:
      1. Tap
        Saved networks
        .
      2. Tap the applicable network then tap
        Forget
        .
