Turn Siri AI On / Off

Enabling or disabling Siri AI on your Apple® iPad® affects its capability to perform AI-driven functions. This is a setting you can change based on your preference for these features.

Before you begin

Siri AI, formerly known as Apple Intelligence, is currently in beta.
The steps below only apply to any iPad with A17 Pro or M1 and later.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Siri
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To join Waitlist:
      1. Tap
        Try Siri AI (Beta)
        .
      2. You’ll be notified when Siri AI is ready for your device.
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Tap
        Turn On Siri AI
        .
      2. To continue with setup, follow the onscreen prompts (i.e., Summarize Notifications, Siri, etc.).
    • To turn off:
      1. Tap
        Turn Off Siri
        .
      2. To confirm, review the prompt then tap
        Turn Off Siri
        .
