Your Pixel 9 / 9 Pro / 9 Pro XL lets you organize your contacts based on your preference by merging the details of multiple entries or separating them.

Before you begin

The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (Gmail™, Exchange, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error, the info can be separated back into individual contacts.

Link Contacts

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Organize
    Merge & fix
    Merge duplicates
    .
  3. For each contact card, tap
    Merge
     to combine the contact entries into one, or tap
    Dismiss
     to skip. To accept all suggestions, tap
    Merge all
    .

Undo Changes to Contacts

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Switch account icon
     then tap
    Contacts settings
    .
  3. From the Edit contacts section, tap
    Undo changes
     then select a timeframe (e.g. 10 min ago, 1 hr ago, yesterday, etc.).
    Option selected reverts all contacts changed within that time frame.
  4. Tap
    Confirm
     then tap
    OK
    .
