Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your TCL 50 XE 5G to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap any of the following to configure:
    • Network name
    • Hide my device
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Password
      Tap the Password field to remove the existing password then enter the new characters.
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
    • Maximum connections (1 user, 7 users, etc.)
    • Select AP Band (2.4 GHz Band or 5 GHz Band)
  5. Tap
    Save
    .
  6. Tap
    Timeout settings
     then select an option (e.g., Never, 40 minutes, etc.).
