Activate Netflix & HBO Max Perk

Use the My Verizon website to easily activate and access your Netflix® and HBO Max perk, so you can begin streaming your favorite content.

Before you begin

Ensure the Netflix & HBO Max perk has been added. It may take up to 15 minutes to update.

Activate Netflix

  1. From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon.
  2. Navigate:
    Account
    My products & plan perks
    Netflix & HBO Max
    .
  3. From the 'You've added Netflix & HBO Max...' message, select
    Continue
    .
  4. From the Netflix section, select
    Register
    .
  5. Enter your email address, select
    Next
     then do one of the following:
    • If you don't already have a Netflix account:
      1. Enter a password to watch Netflix then select
        Next
        .
      2. Select a plan option (e.g., Premium, Standard with ads, etc.) then select
        Continue with selection
        .
      3. Review the Confirm your details screen then select
        Accept
        .
      4. Follow the prompts for any additional Netflix details (e.g., backup payment, password recovery, etc.).
    • If you're already a Netflix member:
      1. Enter the password you already use to watch Netflix then select
        Next
        .
      2. Review the message then select
        Yes, Start Watching
         to accept the suggestion based on your existing subscription or select
        Show Other Plans
         and do the following:
        1. From the Now chose your Netflix plan screen, select a plan option then select
          Continue with selection
          .
        2. Review the Confirm your details screen then select
          Accept & Watch Now
          .

Activate HBO Max

  1. From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon.
  2. Navigate:
    Account
    My products & plan perks
    Netflix & HBO Max
    .
  3. From the 'You've added Netflix & HBO Max...' message, select
    Continue
    .
  4. From the HBO Max section, select
    Register
    .
  5. If prompted, enter your email address then select
    Continue
    .
  6. Do one of the following:
    • If no existing account was found, enter the appropriate details then select
      Create Account
       and do one of the following:
      • To continue the With Ads subscription, select
        Start Streaming
        .
      • To view plan choices and cost differences to upgrade:
        1. Select
          Explore Ad-Free Plans
          .
        2. Select the appropriate plan (e.g., Ad-Free, Ultimate Ad-Free, etc.) then select
          Continue
          .
        3. Review the subscription details then select
          Confirm & Continue
          .
    • If an existing HBO Max account was found:
      1. Select
        Verify Email
        .
      2. Enter the one-time code sent to the email address associated with your Max account then select
        Submit
        .
      3. Review the Keep your plan message then do one of the following:
        • To keep your existing plan, select
          Keep Plan
           then select
          Start Streaming
          .
        • To view plan choices and cost difference
          1. Select
            Change Plan
            .
          2. Select the appropriate plan (e.g., Ad-Free, Ultimate Ad-Free, etc.) then select
            Continue
            .
          3. Review the subscription details then select
            Confirm & Continue
            .
      4. Review the You're All Set screen then select
        Start Streaming
