Choose whether messages and alerts show in full, remain private, or stay silent while the screen on your Pixel 8 / 8 Pro is locked.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Sound & vibration
    .
  3. Tap one of the following:
    • Phone ringtone
    • Default notification sound
    • Default alarm sound
  4. Select an album (My Sounds, Pixel Sounds, etc.).
  5. Select the preferred sound then tap
    Save
    .
