Switch Paired Phone

Follow these steps to unpair your Pixel Watch 2 from your current phone and then pair it with a new one.

Before you begin

The steps below only apply when you need to connect your existing Pixel Watch 2 to a new Android smartphone.

For activation of a replacement Pixel Watch 2, refer to Replace Existing Device.

Before completing the steps below, verify:

your companion Android smartphone has a cellular or Wi-Fi connection.

the Pixel Watch app on the companion Android smartphone via is installed and updated the Google Play™ Store.

From the Home screen, press the

Crown button

to open the apps screen.

Navigate:

System

Disconnect & reset

Review the info about resetting the watch then tap the

Checkmark icon

The watch resets and all data is deleted (takes up to 10 minutes).

Open the

Watch app

on the new companion smartphone the follow the onscreen prompts to complete activation.

Open the

Watch app

on your smartphone.

Navigate:

System

Disconnect & reset watch

To confirm tap

Reset

Open the

Watch app

then follow the onscreen prompts to complete activation.
