Set up fingerprint recognition on your Galaxy A14 5G for fast, secure access. Remove saved fingerprints when troubleshooting or changing devices.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security and privacy
    Biometrics
    Fingerprints
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern then tap
    Continue
    .
  4. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Review the message then tap
        Register
        .
      2. Follow the onscreen tutorial to scan your fingerprint. Repeat as needed until the process is complete.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
      4. Tap the
        Fingerprint unlock switch
         to turn on or off.
    • To add more fingerprints:
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
      2. Follow the onscreen tutorial to scan your fingerprint.
      3. Tap
        Done
         if finished or
        Add
         to continue adding fingerprints.
    • To remove fingerprints:
      1. Touch and hold the fingerprint to remove or tap
        All
         to delete all fingerprints.
      2. Tap
        Remove
        .
      3. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
