A screen lock secures your Galaxy A13 and keeps it private. Setting it up or adjusting the options helps you find the right balance between security and accessibility.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Lock screen
    Screen lock type
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To set up a pattern:
      1. Tap
        Pattern
        .
      2. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap
        Continue
        .
      3. Draw the same pattern again then tap
        Confirm
        .
    • To set up a PIN:
      1. Tap
        PIN
        .
      2. Enter a numeric PIN that's 4 to 16 digits then tap
        Continue
        .
        If preferred, tap
        Confirm PIN without tapping OK
        .
      3. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
        OK
        .
    • To set up a password:
      1. Tap
        Password
        .
      2. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters, including at least one letter) then tap
        Show password icon
        .
      3. Re-enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
    • To disable screen lock:
      1. Tap
        None
         or
        Swipe
        .
