Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Set up fingerprint recognition on your Galaxy A03s for fast, secure access. Remove saved fingerprints when troubleshooting or changing devices.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security and Privacy
    Biometrics
    Fingerprints
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Perform any of the following:
    • For first-time setup
      1. Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint and repeat until the process is complete.
      2. Tap
        Done
        .
      3. Tap the
        Fingerprint unlock switch
         to turn on or off.
    • To add more fingerprints
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
      2. Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint.
      3. When finished, tap
        Done
         if finished or
        Add
         to continue adding fingerprints.
    • To remove fingerprint(s)
      1. Touch and hold a fingerprint to remove.
      2. Tap
        Remove
        .
      3. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
