TCL 30 V 5G - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your TCL 30 V 5G to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secure remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Connected devices
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Add icon
     Add icon.
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    OK
    .
    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials:
    • Name
    • Type
    • Server Address
    • Username
    • Password
  6. If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following options, which may vary depending on the selected VPN type:
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
