Uninstall Apps

Unused apps take up storage space and slow down your Windows® 11 device. Uninstalling apps you don't need can improve performance and reduce clutter.

Before you begin

Pre-installed apps (apps included with the Windows 11 operating system) may not have an uninstall option.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Start menu
    .
  2. Select
    All apps
    .
  3. Locate the app then do one of the following:
    • Touch and hold the app then release.
    • Right-click the app.
  4. Select
    Uninstall
    .
  5. From the Confirmation prompt, select
    Uninstall
