Add a User Account

If multiple people share your Windows® 11 device, user profiles allow everyone to have their own apps, layout and customized settings.

Steps

Open the

Start menu

Navigate:

Settings

Accounts

Family & other users

Do any of the following.

To set up Family / Child accounts, refer to this Microsoft® tutorial.

To set up other users:

From the 'Other users' section, select

Add account

Do one of the following:

If the person you're adding has a Microsoft account:

Enter their email address, select

Select

Finish

If the person you're adding doesn't have a Microsoft account:

Select

I don't have this person's sign-in information

then select

Add a user without a Microsoft account

Enter the username, password and password hint then complete any remaining steps to finish account creation.
