Activate your motorola edge 5G UW to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.

Before you begin

Make sure a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap
    Start
    .
  2. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  4. Turn privacy and security features on or off then tap
    Accept and continue
    .
  5. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  6. Sign in to your Google™ account or create a new one.
  7. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Backup, Location, etc.).
  8. Set up a screen lock and facial recognition or fingerprints to secure your device.
  9. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and App info, tap
    Accept
    .
  10. Tap
    Agree
     or
    Next
     to add additional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  11. Add your email to allow Motorola to communicate with you.
  12. Tap
    Got it
     to complete the activation.
