Software updates improve performance, fix bugs and enhance security. Installing them helps keep your moto g pure safe and running efficiently.

Before you begin

If the device gets stuck in the boot-up process after installing an update, a factory data reset is required. Make sure the Google™ credentials are known before doing the reset as they are needed to complete the reset process.

Steps

    System updates
    .
  3. From the System update screen, tap
    Check for updates
    .
  4. If prompted, tap
    OK
    .
  5. If an update is available, tap
    Download
