TCL TAB Pro 5G - Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your TCL TAB Pro 5G makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down to access all apps.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag-and-drop the shortcut to the preferred Home screen.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag-and-drop the widget to the preferred Home screen.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Calendar).
  2. Drag-and-drop the app onto another app (e.g., Gmail) to add an unnamed folder.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename the folder:
      1. Tap the folder.
      2. Tap the
        Title bar
         at the top of the open folder.
      3. Enter a name then tap the
        Back icon
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, apps, folders, etc.).
  2. Drag the item onto
    Remove
     (upper-right) and release.
    Removing an app from a Home screen uninstalls it from your device.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      2. Tap the image to switch between the Home and Lock screens.
      3. Tap
        Edit crop
         to adjust the area.
      4. Tap 'Done' in the lower right to set the image on the current screen, or tap 'Set both' to set the image on both screens.
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        My photos
         (the first wallpaper option).
      2. If prompted, select an app (e.g., Gallery, Photos, etc.).
      3. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      4. Tap the image to switch between the Home and Lock screens.
      5. Tap
        Edit crop
         to adjust the area.
      6. Tap 'Done' in the lower right to set the image on the current screen, or tap 'Set both' to set the image on both screens.
