Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite - Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy Tab A7 Lite makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space on the desired screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap a widget.
    Some widgets offer different size options. If no additional options are available, skip to the next step.
  4. Touch and hold the desired widget.
  5. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space on the desired screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  6. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
    Options vary depending on the type of widget.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
  2. When the pop-up bubble appears, release the icon then tap
    Remove
    .

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
  2. Drag the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail) then release.
  3. Tap
    Folder name
     at the top of the unnamed folder.
  4. Enter a name for the folder then tap
    Done
    .
    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
    .
  3. From the 'Wallpaper and style' screen, tap
    Change wallpapers
     then do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap any of the following:
        • Featured
        • Graphical
        • Colors
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Select an option (Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens).
      4. Tap
        Next
        .
      5. Tap
        Done
        .
      6. If prompted, select an option to change the color palette.
      7. To confirm, tap
        Apply
        .
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
        .
        If prompted, review the location info message then tap
        Allow
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture.
        Up to 15 images can be selected and displayed in a rotating slideshow.
      3. Select an option (Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens).
      4. Tap
        Next
        .
      5. Tap
        Done
        .
    • To use a Wallpaper service:
      This option only changes the lock screen wallpaper.
      1. Tap
        Wallpaper services
        .
      2. Tap Dynamic Lock screen or Samsung Global Goals.
      3. Tap
        Apply
        .
      4. Select an image then tap
        Download
        .
        To only download when connected to Wi-Fi, tap
        Using Wi-Fi only
