MOTOROLA ONE 5G UW ACE - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your Motorola one 5G UW ace to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secure remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Add icon
     Add icon.
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    SET LOCK
    .
    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  6. From the Type field, PPP encryption (MPPE) is checked by default. If another encryption type is preferred, tap the
    dropdown menu
     dropdown menu icon then select the VPN type.
  7. Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap
    Save
    .
  8. If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following options, which may vary depending on the selected VPN type:
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
    • Username
    • Password
  9. If PPP encryption (MPPE) is the preferred connection, scroll down then tap
    Username
     and
    Password
