MOTO G PLAY (2021) - Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your moto g play (2021) to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages and connect to the internet.
Make sure there's a SIM card inserted into the device before powering on.
  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap
    Start
    .
  2. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  4. Set your Motorola service preferences then tap
    Accept & continue
    .
  5. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to choose from where to transfer your content now or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  6. Sign in with your Google™ Account or create a new one.
  7. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Google Drive, Location, etc.).
  8. Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprint to secure your device.
  9. To configure voice services with the Assistant, tap
    I agree
    .
  10. Set up any other options (email, wallpaper, etc.) or tap
    No thanks
    .
  11. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and App info, tap
    Accept
    .
  12. Tap
    Agree
     or
    Accept
     to add additional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  13. Turn privacy and communication options on or off then tap
    Accept & continue
    .
  14. Tap
    Get started
     to complete the setup process.
