Switching to a new device, traveling or troubleshooting a connectivity issue? Learn how to quickly and easily insert or remove the SIM card for your Galaxy A12.

Before you begin

Don't attempt to insert/remove the SIM card while the device is powered on, as it may harm the SIM card and/or the device.

Steps

  1. From the left edge of the device with the screen display facing up, remove the card tray.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To insert a SIM card
      : Ensure the gold contacts are facing down and the notch is aligned with the SIM tray.
    • To remove a SIM card
      : Once the tray is removed, lift the SIM card from the tray.
  3. Insert the card tray then press in on the tray to lock it into place.
