Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy S21 5G / S21+ 5G / S21 Ultra 5G makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap the applicable app.
  4. Touch and hold the desired widget then drag-and-drop it onto the preferred Home screen location.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Calendar) to create a folder.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename a folder:
      1. Tap
        Folder Name
        .
      2. Enter a name for the folder then tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the apps out of the folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item until the menu appears then release.
  2. Tap
    Remove
     or
    Disable
    .

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap
        Change wallpapers
        .
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Select (Check) an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen) then tap
        Next
        .
      4. To confirm, tap
        Done
        .
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Change wallpapers
        .
      2. Tap
        Gallery
        .
      3. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      4. Tap
        Done
        .
      5. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen) then tap
        Next
        .
      6. To confirm, tap
        Done
        .
