TCL SIGNA - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, managed devices etc.) on your SIGNA.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Network & Internet

Tethering & Mobile Hotspot

Mobile Hotspot

Tap

Set up Mobile Hotspot

Ensure the Mobile Hotspot switch is set to on Switch on

From the Set up Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:

Network name (SSID)

Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)

Password

This password must be entered on the connecting device.

Tap the

Password field

to remove and edit the password.

The password must contain at least 8 characters.

Tap

Show password

if necessary to view.

Select AP Band

Tap the

Dropdown Menu

then select one of the following:

2.4 GHz Band

5.0 GHz Band

Maximum connections (e.g., 1 user, 8 users, etc.)

Tap

Save

Tap

Timeout settings

Select the preferred option (e.g., Never, 5 mins, 10 mins, etc.).

From the 'Connected devices' section, tap

Block

next to the device you want to disconnect.

Up to 10 devices can connect to the Mobile Hotspot at one time.

To remove the block, tap

Unblock

next to the preferred device under the 'Blocked devices' section.
