Turn Call Blocking & Identification On / OffThe Silence Junk Callers feature on your Apple® iPhone® directs calls from numbers not in your contacts to voicemail to help minimize disturbances from unsolicited calls.
Before you begin
If an emergency call is placed, Silence Junk Callers is temporarily disabled for 24 hours.
Calls identified by Verizon as intentional spam or fraud are silenced and automatically sent to voicemail. The Verizon Protect App must be installed for full functionality.
Steps
- Open theSettings app.
- Navigate: .
- Under the 'Silence Junk Callers' section, select the preferred option:
- Never
- Ask Reason for Calling
- Silence
- From the Call Identification Apps section, tap the applicable switch next to the desired app (e.g., Verizon Protect) to turn on or off.
