Turn Screen Rotation On / Off

Screen rotation allows your Pixel 4a to switch orientations automatically. By default, the screen rotates when you turn the device, but this setting can be turned off.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accessibility
    System controls
    Auto-rotate screen
    .
  3. Tap any of the following options to turn on or off.
    • Use Auto-rotate
    • Enable Face Detection
      This option uses the front-facing camera to improve auto-rotate accuracy (Use Auto-rotate must be turned on).
