Samsung Galaxy A01 - Add / Remove Face Recognition

Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Galaxy A01.
  1. Ensure a secure screen lock type has been set up.
  2. Open
    Settings app
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Biometrics and security
    Face Recognition
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  5. Do any of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. From the 'Face recognition' tap
        Continue
        .
      2. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed onscreen.
      3. From the 'Stay on Lock screen until swipe' screen tap the switch to turn on or off then tap
        Done
        .
      4. From the 'Face recognition' menu, tap the switch(es) to turn each option on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Brighten screen, etc.) then tap
        OK
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the 'Face recognition' menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer, then tap
        Remove
        .
