Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Lexus in-car Wi-Fi to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Before you begin

Before following the step below, make sure you're signed up for Connected Car Service.

Steps

  1. Press the
    Menu button
     on the Remote Touch.
  2. Select
    Setup
    .
  3. Select
    Wi-Fi
    .
  4. Select any of the following to view or change settings:
    • Wi-Fi Hotspot
      : Your Lexus must be running or in accessory mode for the Wi-Fi Hotspot to function.
    • Access Point Name
      : The name that identifies the wireless network.
    • Password
      : The password is needed to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
    • Hide Access Point
      : For the easiest connection experience, it's recommended to leave this setting off and broadcast your access point name.
    • Security
      : Allows you to view or change the current security setting.
    • Channel
      : Allows you to broadcast using alternate channels to avoid interference with other wireless signals.
