Here's how to extend battery life, view charging status / remaining battery and determine what uses the most power on your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch).

Navigate:

Battery life is measured by standby time, talk time and data usage.

Review the past and predicted usage graph.

The graph displays the time since it was last charged to 100%.

Review the 'Usage since last full charge' section.

indicates the approximate battery life used by each app.

To improve battery life, you can:

Stop running apps that are not being used.

Disable apps that are consuming too much battery or RAM and not being used.

Contact the app developer if an app appears to cause excessive battery drain.

Adjust brightness to the lowest setting.

Turn GPS off when not in use.

If turned off, certain apps or services may not work properly.

Turn Wi-Fi off when not in use.

If turned off, certain apps or services may not work properly.

Remove widgets that automatically update.
